Hey guys,
Its been almost 3 months since I last posted. I had a series of events happening and a lot of school work that I had to take a back seat when it came to blogging. So kindly forgive me for being MIA.
Whats new? I am on YouTube now… Let me tell you, being on YouTube hasn’t been easy as I had imagined. I never thought that talking in front of a camera can be so daunting, up until I tried. The struggle has been REAL. If you get to watch my very first video, you will see what I am talking about. From my voice to mumbling of words to bad sound and at times poor quality of video. Weuh!
I didn’t want to share links to my videos purely because I wanted to get confident first…. But since this confidence thing is happening at its own pace, I have decided to start sharing the videos with you guys. The quality isn’t where I want it to be, but I am working on up’n my game. I can’t call myself a ‘filmmaker’ and later produce mediocre work. It is unacceptable. So my fellow filmmakers, please pardon me. I haven’t lost my ‘film touch’. I promise.
So back to my title, ‘ Did I Quit Being An Editor?’ I have to address this question because so many people think that I quit being an editor for good. No, I basically decided to take a sabbatical leave from editing and I decided to upgrade from being an editor to a PR and Marketing expert. I needed to grow, hence my transition – that doesn’t mean I quit editing. Editing was my first love and I will still continue to edit for the longest time. The only thing right now is that I am very picky about the kind of work that I do, so watch the video here and listen to my sentiments over ‘quitting editing’.
Enjoy…
