Clearly I am excited to share this post. For the past couple of months, I have been experimenting on different salad recipes, juices and shakes and it has been fun-filled with a tad of failed experiments that left my taste buds going like, ‘yuck’. But of course most turned out great and I will be sharing them soon, now that I have mastered my skills.
Today, I will be preparing tamarillo juice, also know as tree tomato juice. For the longest time, I have detested this fruit because of its sour taste, but when I decided to change my eating lifestyle, I made google my friend and I discovered a variety of fruits that have great health benefits and tamarillo is one of them.
This egg-shaped tomato-family fruit are rich in vitamins, antioxidant and minerals. Ideal sources of nutrition that my body needs especially my oily skin which at times suffers from annoying breakouts but I try to tender to them with home-made masks and juices.
So without wasting much time, let me take you through my easy to make tamarillo juice recipe. Of course I have to add some sweetness to it with an apple and honey 😉 It has to taste great.
3 Tamarillo fruit
1 teaspoon of apple cider vinegar
2 tablespoons of honey
1 1/2 cups of water
- Cut the tamarillo fruit and the apple n pieces and put them inside the blender. Add apple cider vinegar, honey and water and blend for at least a minute or two so as to get a fine blend
- Sieve the juice and it is ready to drink
- Well, you can garnish with a life of mint leaf if you like
- Chill it in the fridge for 5 minutes and serve on a fancy glass if you wish 😉
