Just like that! Puff! Valentines is old news… as much as we dint do anything fancy, I was content with resting my head on my husbands chest as we watched our favorite Fox Entertainment series while sipping on some chicken and vegetable soup. One of my friend’s thought I would make a fuss over, “not have a valentines treat” but my answer to her came as a surprise and my final feedback was, “I have other goals in mind” and I will leave it at that. That’s it folks, nothing fancy and mushy to write about.
Going back to my title, “The Unexpected” which is the essence of this post. Remember my holiday vibes post? The one that I gushed about?… It came with some bitter-sweet… shortly after my restful and pleasurable holiday, I suffered from a serious case of sun burn that has left my skin flaky, dry and patched to this day. I dint forget to use sunscreen but somehow my skin just gave in to the hot and humid weather of the coast: maybe the salty water might have contributed as well but I have been to the coast several times and my skin has never reacted the way it did. Now, it has been two months since I started lathering my skin with organic oils and scrubbing it with a nice blend coffee scrub concocted by a skin therapist – though it has improved, my skin hasn’t fully recovered. I have contemplated about visiting a dermatologist but everyone keeps telling me it will go away but now I think I need to take action.
The reason as to why I feel that my delayed visit to the dermatologist is important is because 1. I have invested in quality sunscreens, for face and body and that obviously dint protect my skin as it has in the past so I need to understand what could have possibly gone wrong 2. After using the tried and tested skin therapy with organic oils (which dint come cheap at all) my skin and completion isn’t what it used to be and it now beginning to draw some stress levels which I am not happy about. I hope to find a lasting solution and have my skin back to its old self. I will keep you updated…
